FAQs
The things people usually want to know before reaching out.
How do I get started?
Fill out the contact form. I personally respond to every inquiry, usually within one business day, and we’ll schedule a free 15-minute consultation call.
What happens in the free consultation?
It’s a short, low-pressure call. I’ll answer your initial questions, we’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, and we’ll see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, we schedule your first session. If it doesn’t, no hard feelings — picking the right therapist matters.
Where do sessions happen?
I see clients in person in Larchmont Village, Los Angeles, and via secure telehealth anywhere in California. Sessions are typically weekly and last 50 minutes, on a 1-on-1 basis in individual therapy.
What approaches do you use?
My work is collaborative, practical, and insight-driven. Depending on what you need, I draw from psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT-I for insomnia, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, self-compassion work, and strengths-based approaches. You will not be told to just think positive or meditate more.
Can you really help with sleep without medication?
Yes — that’s the point of CBT-I. It’s the gold-standard, first-line treatment for insomnia recommended by the American College of Physicians, and 80% of patients report better sleep within 4-8 sessions. If you want support tapering off sleep medication, we create that plan together with your prescriber. More on sleep therapy.
What do sessions cost? Do you take insurance?
Fees, insurance, superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and scheduling are all covered in the free consultation, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before committing to anything. You are also entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of costs.
Is the contact form monitored for emergencies?
No. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Still have a question?
Ask it in the form — I answer personally.
