Anxiety Therapy

With Ali Behar, LCSW

ages 23 - 40

For my entire career, I’ve worked with young adults navigating anxiety. I know how intense and confusing this stage gets because I’ve lived it, too.

Are you feeling behind, lost, or unsure what comes next?

Do you overthink every decision and still feel stuck?

Are things “not clicking” despite your best efforts and overthinking?

You might not have a clear path and question who you are, what you want and what’s the right path. Social media, comparisons, family expectations, and perfectionism can make you feel anxious, disconnected, or not good enough.

Clients Come To Me For:

  • Overthinking

  • Avoiding hard decisions

  • Perfectionism paralysis

  • Negative self talk

  • Low self worth

  • Relationship stress

  • Feeling unmotivated

  • Physically on edge

Anxiety at this stage isn’t a flaw.
It’s a signal that something important is shifting.

How Therapy With Me Works

Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and practical. We explore where your anxiety comes from, but we also focus on helping you take action in your real life. I’m not a silent therapist; I offer direct feedback, thoughtful questions, and clear perspective when it can help move the work forward.

You’ll better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. We’ll identify what keeps you stuck and build the skills to move forward, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Modalities I Use

  • Helps you understand how early experiences and family dynamics shape your self-doubt, perfectionism, and relationship patterns today.

  • Teaches you to recognize anxious thought loops and shift them so they do not control your choices.

  • Builds emotion regulation and distress tolerance so you can handle difficult feelings without shutting down or avoiding.

  • Identifies what you are naturally good at and helps you lean into your strengths so you are not just surviving but actively building a life that fits you.

“You will not be told to just think positive or meditate more. We work step by step, at a pace that feels doable.”

Set Anxiety Aside

With the right tools, feel more like you and in control of your direction.

After Therapy With Me, Clients Report

  • Less avoidance

  • Better boundaries

  • Trust their gut more

  • Better relationships

  • Know where they’re going

  • Excitement about the future

About Ali Behar, LCSW

My therapy is designed for 20 and 30 year olds who feel stuck between who they were and who they are becoming. It’s adapted to you, not a one-size-fits-all model.

Before becoming a therapist, I went to law school for one semester. I remember what it felt like to question everything and wonder if I was on the wrong path. That experience shapes how I work.

I earned my bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and my Master’s in Social Work from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. I have over a decade of experience in private practice and clinical roles at UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital.

Originally from Miami, I have lived in Los Angeles since 2014. I am a mom of two young kids and have a German Shepherd Husky mix named Moondog.

On weekends, I am usually hiking or spending time outdoors with my family.

Availability: I work with clients in person in Larchmont Village,
and via Telehealth across California.
