Therapy In Los Angeles and via Telehealth across California.

ALI BEHAR, LCSW

Clients tell me, “you just get it.” My therapy is practical, science-based, and collaborative.

I am not a silent therapist. I offer direct feedback, thoughtful questions, and clear perspective when it can help move the work forward.

Therapy with me is warm and grounded in both cultural understanding and clinical depth. We explore your internal world while also addressing real-life pressures.

Clients are ready to meet me when they’re ready to choose themselves.

Many of my clients are insightful and capable people who are used to handling things on their own. Therapy becomes the place where they can finally slow down, gain perspective, and think more clearly about what comes next.

My Therapy Specialties

  • I use CBT-I for sleep therapy because it works better than pills. We begin with a detailed intake to understand your specific type of insomnia. Working together together, I encourage making targeted, evidence-based changes to your routine until your sleep improves.

  • I’ve worked with young adults navigating anxiety for my entire career. I know how intense and confusing this stage gets. With the right tools, feel more like yourself and in control of your direction.

Ali Behar, LCSW

👋🏼 Hi there! I’m Ali.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Ivy League educated, with over a decade of experience helping people feel calmer, clearer, and more confident in their lives. My work blends strong academic training, neuroscience-informed care, and a style that clients often describe as realistic and grounding.

If you’re here, you might be feeling stuck, anxious, exhausted, or unsure of the best next steps. Therapy with me is not about endless talking. It’s about understanding what’s happening and creating real, practical change.

Originally from Miami, I have lived in Los Angeles since 2014. I am a mom of two young kids and have a German Shepherd Husky mix named Moon Dog. I love hiking, especially around Runyon Canyon, and spending time outdoors with my family.
